Jake “Bboy Boogie B” Riley
Breaking Instructor / Studio Co-Owner / Class Director
Jake “Bboy Boogie B” Riley has been a devoted practitioner of the original style of Hip Hop Dance, “Breaking” for 15 years. During this time, Jake has traveled from coast to coast, learning from and has competed against some of the most influential Bboys and Bgirls from all around the world. Jake has won over 45 competitions and has traveled to cities that include: Los Angeles, New York City, Chicago, San Diego, Houston, Miami, Orlando, Austin, Seattle, Sacramento, Boston, Atlanta and more.
In August of 2014, he along with a few partners opened the doors to Minnesota’s first and only studio dedicated to Hip Hop/Urban dance called, “House of Dance Twin Cities”.
In May of 2016, Jake also graduated from North Hennepin Community College with an Associates Degree in Business Administration, along with a certificate in Entrepreneurship to further his management skills at the studio.
House of Dance Twin Cities today is among the top 10 dance studios (based on recent ratings) in Minnesota with over 275 currently registered students. House of Dance Twin Cities is also the official dance studio partner of the Minnesota Timberwolves/Lynx and has a partnership with Red Bull Energy Drink.
Jake’s performance experience includes dancing alongside platinum selling recording artists such as: Vanilla Ice, Montell Jordan, Quad City DJs, Bell Biv Devoe and most recently had the incredible opportunity to perform alongside Justin Timberlake for the SuperBowl LII Pepsi halftime performance at the US Bank Stadium in February of 2018.
In June of 2018, Jake and his wife, Bao, founded their 501c3 non-profit called, “House of Dance Foundation” to further provide classes and programming to a greater outreach of people in the Twin Cities and beyond.

Tai Brown
Hip Hop Dance Instructor
Tai, born and raised in Minnesota has been dancing for as long as he can remember with videos dating all the way back to 2006. Tai danced because he could never sit still and it was a great outlet of expression for him. Tai loved watching his brother dance as he watched dance movies and it inspired Tai to dance as well. Tai uses styles such as hip hop, litefeet, house, animation and Krump! His first styles were breaking and jerking. Tai had his first big dance experience in 2016 at a dance battle hosted by house of dance where he got to watch David jr and Herb Johnson battle each other. Tai at the young age of 17 choreographed a piece for the opening of the US Bank Stadium for twin cities pulse! In 2019 at the age of 18 he also co choreographed a piece for “Rooted Hip Hop Choreographers Evening”held at the Ordway. Tai has battled, competed and won all over the U.S. with his favorite battles being in Chicago and Texas, which is something he continues to do today.
Bryn Hunyh
Hip Hop Dance Instructor
Bryn began her dance journey in 2017 as a student at House of Dance, where she developed a strong foundation in Hip-Hop. Over the years, her dedication led her to become an instructor, working with students ages 3-18 in both dance and youth-focused settings. She is also a member of FINESSE Homies, a Minnesota-based competitive team that specializes in open-style and cover choreography. In addition to teaching and performing, Bryn is an event organizer for the Homies Showcase—an event designed to build community and celebrate dancers and choreographers from across the Midwest. Whether in the studio or on stage, she is committed to helping youth grow in confidence, creativity, and connection through dance.
George "Bboy George" Baugh
Breaking Instructor
George Baugh been breaking since 2015 and has been a student at House of Dance Twin Cities for the entirety of his breaking career. George has a passion for art from a young age and thrives in creative and authentic spaces, like House of Dance. George is a part of the most tenured and prestigious Breaking student group, at House of Dance, “Break Fluid” and for him has truly been unreal. Through our shared passion for dance, he’s forged deep connections and relationships with his fellow Break Fluid teammates. To George, it feels like he’s gained a second family, united by our love for this art. George has competed across the country, in cities such as Denver and Boston and have had multiple opportunities to work with various organizations such as Monster Energy. George specializes in the more technical side of breaking in elements like footwork, prioritizing originality and the ability to create.
Mia Johnson
Hip Hop Dance Instructor
Mia Johnson began dancing as a youth dancer in “Legacy: A Tribute to the King of Pop” and later became a member of that professional company. She began formal dance training in Horton (modern technique), Ballet, West African, and Modern/Contemporary choreography at TU Dance Center. She also attended Saint Paul Conservatory for Performing Artists, studying Modern, Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop, Breaking and more. Mia’s other performance experience includes: being a member of all-female hip hop collective “S.H.E.- She Who Holds Everything”, SuperbowlLIVE 2018 dance performances, and performances with other local Hip Hop crews, artists and small collaborations. She trains as “Girl Kaution” in Krump under Herb Johnson III aka J Dot Eyez, and she has participated in various battles, workshops, sessions and performances around the country to deepen her training in Krump. Mia has also traveled to several workshops and intensives in Hip Hop/Urban Dance choreography and technique. Some of her teaching experience includes various local workshops, and teaching Hip Hop & creating Hip Hop choreography for the TU Dance Teen Summer Intensive. She also has experience working with children at Science Museum of Minnesota summer camps. She is currently receiving a B.F.A. in Dance from the University of Minnesota, and hopes to use this degree to garner the same funding and respect for Urban and Street Dance forms in Minnesota as she has seen given to the concert dance community. She hopes to continue honing her passion for creating dance that makes a statement and continue teaching to empower others through dance.
Cameron "Bboy Cam" Estes
Breaking Instructor
Started breaking in 2009 at the age of 16 in St. Louis, MO. He moved to Minnesota in May 2021. He has traveled and competed in competitions throughout the country. He represents Rising Starz Crew (MO) and Icy Styles (MN). His style is all-around because he likes to cover all aspects of breaking.
Joseph "Godsent" James
Funkstyles / Hip Hop Dance Instructor
Started dancing in 2003 doing Musical Theatre, Tap, and Jazz. Joseph later started doing Ballroom and Latin style dances before finding Hip Hop, where he started with Breakdancing and New Jack Swing, before moving into the Funkstyles scene around 2008. Today he dances all styles, with an emphasis on Locking.
